NRL Rugby Referees are the whistleblowers for the National Rugby League in Australia. NRL is Australia’s top professional rugby league and made its debut in 1908. After a tumultuous history it has evolved to its current form under the control of the Australian Rugby League Commission. The sport is incredibly popular, setting a world attendance record for rugby when 107,999 fans showed up for the 1999 NRL Grand Final between the Melbourne Storm and the St. George Illawarra Dragons at Stadium Australia.

The Bunker
The NRL Bunker is a state of the art centralized review system put together in 2016 by the league. Its purpose is to help the officials make the correct calls by using a form of video review. As with the formation of the league, the introduction of referee technology has been very controversial and hotly debated by rugby fans across the country. Equipped with over 50 monitors and about 30 kilometers of cable, the facility is a very impressive ground breaking addition to the Australian world of sports and you can follow the progress right here.
